We desperately want this restaurant to succeed. We need more good ones in our area. However our experience there was less than stellar. Our waiter was friendly and did the best he could. It seems that the kitchen is too small and undermanned. They can't keep up with the customer orders. The Margaritas were bland and seemed to contain no tequila. Guacamole was bland. Burrito was tasty, but arrived cold and we sent it back. A second one appeared quickly, but was lukewarm. It took a long time to have our meals served. If Lucero's survives the winter, we will try it again next spring or summer and hope that it has improved. In addition the room is very noisy. If the owners could hang large pieces of cloth from the ceiling in swag-like fashion, it would do wonders for sound absorption.
We were seated promptly, had a waiter there within a few minuets and the food was great. Fast,fresh, and delicious. Juan really gives his everything to this place and it shows. We will defiantly be back.
Not trying to be negative but for the first experience here it wasn't the greatest. I'll chalk it up to being new but I'm only giving it 3 stars because Noelle my server was AMAZING and was the only pleasant thing during my time there. The cooks weren't on the same page as the servers it seemed. Asked for my appetizers to be started with a 10min delay so by the time my friend got there they would be either just coming out or very hot, instead I got them in 10 mins and they sat and got cold. Then someone came out with huge plates rushing to our table with someone else's food dripping sauce and cheese all over our table just letting it leak and never even noticed he did it. Food was good but the service was not up to par.
We put our name in and grabbed a beverage for the 30 minute wait on a Saturday evening. The place was packed and the food going by on the wait staff trays looked great. Almost an hour went by before we realized people that came in behind us were being seated. I inquired as to why and somehow our name got deleted from the system. The manager quickly apologized and cleaned a table for us. The food was absolutely delicious! The manager came by and asked how things were several times and did the same to many other tables. A bit loud inside due to the building design bit the food made up for that. We'll definitely go back. If not for the initial wait it would've been a 5 star review.
We went on a Tuesday night around 5:30 and the place was packed by 6:00. That’s a good sign for a new business.
Our first trip tonight was awesome. Kylie was our waitress, she was personable and fast, very good at her job.. Good food delivered to table in no time and the whole staff was on the ball. The meat in the steak tacos was delicious. We'll def be back.
